My history shrine

I think the pic pretty much explains itself. Tsch, who needs revision when you can make a shrine to your favourite subject instead, amirite XD No, but really, history is life.
Well I'm off to school because yesterday I was late to the exam so I should probably leave the house earlier this time.
Also, I'm almost done with 1q84. Dammit, Murakami, teach me your ways!

My first IGCSE exam

Ah... The moment when you can't tell whether that noise is coming from the construction workers nearby or is part of the music you're listening to.
So I had my first IGCSE exam yesterday and I guess I was supposed to be all nervous and stressed out but... *starts singing Mystery Skulls* I do-o-on't really give a damn yeah~
The first exam was English and it went somewhat well. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions from what I've written because I can never tell whether I got the right points in my English summaries. It's a shame that they don't really teach you English at school nowadays. Everyone just assumes that you speak English so writing articles, interviews or summaries is common knowledge. Oh well. It's a shame that such an important subject is never taught in school properly and is taken rather lightly.
My first proper exam was today and it was History. And... I was late. My laziness doesn't know boundaries. On my way to school I got hungry so I bought myself a snack and, without even looking at my watch, continued walking slowly and calmly. My teacher was outraged and I told her that I didn't have an excuse because I couldn't be bothered to make anything up about "traffic" or "public transport delay". Luckily, I never needed the ten minutes I missed and finished the paper quite early.
I actually enjoyed the exam (which I guess is weird) because HISTORY IS LIIIIIFE!!! I was sitting there, engulfed in all these historical events, debating the importance of the Depression in Hitler's rise to power and questioning appeasement like a bo$$. I used the dollar signs ironically, don't punch me! I picked questions on the Treaty of Versailles, the Cold War and Nazi Germany. Just thought I should write it down in case I forget.
Physics paper 6 was suspiciously easy. You didn't have to know the formulae! My whole life was a lie! Before the exam, Dasha and I had pizza which was amazing!
Anyway, exams are really chill. I think I've forgotten how to stress, which is a good thing. I'm going to study for tomorrow's Bio exam so bye and have a nice day!

The mysterious envelope

So I was getting rid of my old notebooks the other day and I discovered a lot of this:
Aw notes from 6th Grade. Uh I hated that class so much! All we did was copy things the teacher wrote on the board. #frenchschool

7th Grade physics taught me how to draw pencils and sugar cubes

Other people did the industrial revolution, colonisation... All I did was copy what the teacher wrote on the board about the Roman art.

My notes were so neat!

So neat...

So neat.......

I drew snakes before it was cool!

Colour coded notes wow

I was so into Geography!

Aw so cute!!!
Now all I do in French class is write essays about environmental problems and immigrants.

I found this folder where I used to keep all the work sheets I got in class. Now I just blindly shove them in my bag. I was so organised before!

I screamed when I found this photo printed out on an A4 piece of paper. The worrying thing is that you can find this photo on my blog. *cringes*

The time I actually got good grades in German

I was so modest

At least, the world should be thankful to me for the amount of paper I recycled hahaha
Everything was fun and games until I found something very very very intriguing and mysterious. THIS STRANGE ENVELOPE!
I don't remember where it is from. It says that I have to open it on the 15th of April 2022. Tun tun tunnnn!

Mock examß

For some reason I find mock exam season (yes, it's now a separate season) inspiring so I doodle scenes from my daily life.
This weekend Rosa and I went to this posh school for rich kids to meet some people from UAL. Although I'm not so interested in going there anymore, the workshop was a lot of fun and I got to meet new people. On our way there, Rosa and I didn't have time to get tickets so I ran outside to get them and the train left. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere for half an hour with nothing but five francs.
Seeing how big and luxurious that school was, I became even more left-wing than I already was. What kind of school needs a circus and an outside Greek amphitheatre? They had about 50 pianos (including grand pianos) and the art room had so many tools, materials and they even had a large 3D printer! It's so unfair how many talented gifted children will never have the opportunity to study in such environment just because their parents don't have enough money!
Okay, that's enough socialism for today...
Mock exams are going okay-ish so far. 34 pages of hand written History revision have done a good job so far. Chemistry, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. Here's a doodle about my reaction to the grades I get:
Ima go sleep

Life is Beautiful

It's been a while since my last post. Sorry!
I'm enjoying every single day of my life because life is so amazing! Especially Sundays! Because every Sunday I sing in the church choir and I love it! After church I usually spend some time at my favourite square in town (in front of the Lutheran Church) and listen to music. If you see an idiot walking around randomly and smiling at everything while listening to weird music on her speaker.... Yup, that's me! I probably look like a retard but it's so much fun! Such simple things can make me so happy! Now I can't wait till Sunday because Yasmin is coming to church with me! I can show her the things I do every Sunday.
School is good so far. Although Art is a very serious subject this year. The subjects I quite enjoy are History and Chemistry. The teachers seem nice. (I'm probably going to hate them all by the end of the year...)
I wish I could describe everything and everyone in detail, but unfortunately this blog isn't private.

My grades are here!

So today I got my report card. Some comments made me laugh while others made me shout "what? That's not true at all!". Overall, I'm not satisfied with my results..... At all....
English: B-
Let's look at the bright side of it, first. At least it's not a C. I was expecting a lot worse. In the comment it said that 'Sofia has applied herself' and that I 'show interest in expressing my opinion'. How.....??? It also said that I 'made some attempt to develop and improve my written assignments.' The word 'some' makes me suspicious. What does it mean by 'some attempt'? And, of course the comment was ended with my teacher's favourite quote. 'She often does the minimum to get by.'
Fair enough. I deserve that.... :(
Maths: (grrrr! They spelled it the American way!) A-
The comment was only a sentence long. The last part of it is kind of strange though. It says that 'her concentration is not as intense as it could be.'
I'm generally happy with my grade.
French: B+
Yay! There's nothing interesting in the comment. It just says that 'there is room for improvement.' Well, duh! There's always room for improvement.
Science: A-
AnA-!!! How's that even possible??? The comment is written in French. The summary of it would be that I have to keep up the good work. Sorry, but I don't even know what I have done in this class!
Geography: B
It says that I have achieved good results on my tests, but I got really bad grades on my quizzes. Tell you what, those were 'pop quizzes'. I didn't even know about them.... -_-
History: B-
Wait... That doesn't even make sense. The same grade as English? In the comments, my teacher says that 'she has obtained good grades for both end of unit tests'. Now this is what I really hate! Some teachers write about 'good grades' in the comment section and congratulate you for doing well, but give you a bad grade. It said that I 'have failed handing in my last assignment about Louis XIV'. I couldn't do it for the same reason I couldn't do the English essay. I was very sad and emotional. We had so many graded assignments, but none of them mattered that much...
German: B+
I did well? Oh... That's good....
Art: B-
I knew that. The comments says that I 'can be easily distracted by those around me'. Sure.... It's the 'others around'.... -_-
Computer: bellow the expected standard
Now that made me laugh! It said that all my work was 'poorly done' and that I am 'disruptive in class'. First of all, my work is not poorly done! Putting nyan cat and Totoro on my presentation for no reason is.... Cool!
Let's skip dance, music and sports (I got a 'pass'! Not a 'fail'!).
CSL: expected standard
The comment made me discover so many new things about myself! I never knew I was a 'member of the group who displays a real interest in the subject'! No offense, but I don't give a crap about the subject... I 'listen carefully'. Wow! I listen??? I also 'make contributions'? Does this count saying that only native speakers should teach a language?
Homeroom/school commitment: A-
This is even more surprising! Actually, I 'always approach lessons with a positive learning attitude'! Oh really? So groaning and moaning and saying 'oh no! Kill me now! It's English next' count as being positive? I never knew... Also, I have a 'mature attitude'! So doodling random stuff in my agenda and laughing at stupid jokes now counts as 'mature'? Ok....

That brings my GPA to 3.15 (it used to be 3.29). So the average of my GPA is 3.22.... Not good...

13 Mar 2013

Oh no! It's snowing again!

Today we missed almost half of the day due to the CTP4 tests. We do them every year. I'm not really sure what they are for. At the beginning they told us that they are made to compare different schools so others would know what CDL's strengths and weaknesses are. Starting from last year they also use our results to find out what we have improved on. I don't think the results are true at all. On the practice one (yes, we also have 'mock' CTP4s) there was this one question about the perimeter of a shape. On my paper I calculated the right answer, but on the answer sheet I put it wrong. And now they're going to think that I suck at working out the perimeter of shapes....? The tests are multiple choice so you're able to guess. That makes it even more unfair. On the English (practice) one I guessed all the last questions since I didn't have time and Mr Woodbridge told me that I was very good at them.... -_-
English class was a little bit unusual since people from our teacher's history class were doing their presentations. The only thing I learned from it was that once upon a time there was a guy called Vasco who went to India and died of malaria...
Note about our history class: in our side of the grade there are four history classes: Mr Woodbridge's class (Yasmin' class), Mrs Manchala's class, Mme Roussel's bilingual class (my class) and an ESL class (Carolina's class). All of us are doing different things...
Yasmin's class was doing Islam at some point because I remember them drawing mosques. We've done Islam in seventh grade last year. A couple of weeks (or days....) ago Yasmin was doing a presentation on Joane of Arc. People from our history class also did presentations like this last year.
The other mainstream class, according to their presentations, is doing the explorers and colonies. Yasmin's class never did anything about that. My class only did a little bit on it. We only had to know that Christophor Columbus discovered America and stuff like that. We never went into details like the other class. I didn't even know that Vasco de Gama went to India.... Seriously.... Also, looking at what is written on the board after the class, they have learnt about the Renaisance quite a lot. We studied it too, but we did less than them.
So the bilingual class is studying Europe in the 18th century. We finished the Middle Ages in Autumn. After that, we did explorers and trade... While the other class is studying people going to India, we were focusing on Europe and Venice. We've done Renaissance, but after that we moved straight on to Marthin Luther and the different kinds of Catholicism. We just finished studying Louis XIII and the absolute royal power and now we're doing Europe in the 18th century. We haven't done anything on colonies and, looking at the book, we're not going to.
Well.... At least, the three classes are doing something similar. All of us, at some point, did Renaissance and Europe. But Carolina's class is doing the Mayans! WTC....? The Mayans? Carolina also told us that before they studied the Carabians....
After English we had French. In French class Niko, Joao and Vlad were throwing papers around and Mme Boisson got mad and M Peron came into our class. When he was standing there I started thinking about the role play (Yasmin will know what I'm talking about) and ended up sitting and smiling like an idiot.... Zoum!

My school books or how I learn to draw

I realised that most of my drawing skills develop during school. And no... I don't mean Art lessons. We never do anything in Art. I mean doodling. I doodle everywhere at any time. So today I'm going to share my 'art' with you, guys.
The class I doodle the most in is probably History. It started like this
And ended up like this
I also doodle in other classes. For example..... English!
That owl is so cute!!!!
I barely doodle in Maths. This is the only thing I found. And I think this is my favourite one!
Some of my drawing are complicated like the one above, while others just show how bored I was at the moment...
I don't doodle as much in my textbooks. Good, I don't rip them like Franny... -_-
My favourite thing is my agenda!!! Sometimes, I make it very nice...
Vacation!!!
We went on a field trip to Ardeche. This is a summery.
...and other times it is just random.
Every week has a fact. That week's fact was "Chess was invented in India in 600 A.D." so I drew it.
Mexican Hexigan or Mexacon Hexagon trying to teach you loci!
The song of the year!!! If you haven't seen it go on youtube and type in "the indian nipple song". It's amazing!
Song lyrics + purple!
By looking at my agenda you can see some of the events that happened that week.
Nyahaha! I love doodling!!! ^w^

What I expect my grades to be

The marking period ended so, hopefully, my grades will soon arrive.
I don't normally do this, but I just want to give myself a grade and compare it to my actual one that I will find out in the future. So let's start!

Maths I'm sure I'm getting somewhere around an A for this subject since I got a couple of 100% for my tests.
English Oh chod.... I think I'm getting a C or something like that. Our teacher told us that our essays will not count and I totally failed the rest. I still don't get why I got such a bad grade on my portfolio... =(
French Honestly, I have no idea...
Science B-? All my homework assignments were late and I got bad grades on them. Plus my test results weren't good either.
German I'm probably getting a B... Getting an A in German is impossible...
History I actually enjoyed what we were studying this marking period and I was very proud of my test results. I would give myself an A- or a B+.
Geography This class is always at the end of the day and I'm tired so I don't really pay attention to it. We had several pop quizzes that I failed and my test results are average, so.... B-...?
Art My skills are very good! I love art (not as a school subject)! I made my self portrait purple (!) and.... we weren't supposed to do it the way I did it. I didn't give my sketch book in either. And I never do anything... And I'm on Pon Pon the whole time.... So.... Not getting a good grade.
CSL Computers I made my presentation on Nyan Cat, Totoro, Purple and everything I like when we were supposed to do it on something important (university, school and your future). Ms Lemale always tells me to be quiet because I talk to Yasmin the whole time. And I'm always late! So I could be expecting a "below class average"... >_<
Class We never do anything in this class. During my PLP meeting with Mr Woodbridge I was just talking about how I hate English class with Yasmin. That was very fun.
Sports It's obvious. I'm getting a "fail". But who cares about sports anyway?

So..... Yay! The marking period is over!
Just a little 'something': When I was doing my "Study in Scarlet" portfolio for English I didn't try at all. When I was doing my "To kill a Mockingbird" portfolio I did my best. I got a better grade on the first one...
Today we were "running" the mile (a mile and a half). Well... The others were running, but I was walking. I didn't try at all and I got 14.14. In sixth grade we were only doing one mile. I tried really hard, but my score was worse than my score this year.....
So the moral is.... Don't try....?

THE worst day ever

If last week was the best week of the school year, yesterday was probably the worst day of my life. It was also Pongal and Makar Sankrati in India.
I was very excited on my way to school, but then, I realised that the first period was sports. Last week sports was fun, but this week it was the opposite. We had to do what they call "gymnastics". It's basically front rolls, back rolls, cartwheels, etc. I can not do any of these so the coach was lecturing me about how imortant it is to make decisions in life. "If you have a difficulty in your life are you gonna ignore it?" My response to his lecturing was "Well, there's life and there's sports class. It's different, you see?"
The day before yesterday Yaz and I were preparing for the following day. In our minds we were practising the whole day. I even packed myself a picnic lunch. We also took hair pins, so we could open locked doors as they do in movies.
We checked the music rooms, but all of them were locked. So, we went to the auditorium and realised that both doors were locked. We tried using hair pins. It doesn't work in real life, trust me! We wanted to "break in", but instead we "broke". I mean that instead of opening the door, the pin got stuck in the key hole. We took in out, but some of the paint stayed inside.
We didn't give up and tried opening the fire escape door. To our surprise it was locked and there wasn't even a door knob you could hold on to.
So we went back to class. And guess what class it was? It was English!!! The worst subject in the world!!! Yasmin and I sat together (even though our teacher gets mad at us when we do). I guess we made her happy by wishing her a happy Pongal.
English was meant to be for studying for the vocabulary test we were going to have later that day. I knew most of the words and could easily guess the meanings of those I didn't know. So Yaz and I started preparing for our duet rehearsal. We also doodled in our agendas.
The next thing was history. Yasmin asked Mr Woodbridge if he can let us practise during history. He agreed, but Mme Roussel, my history teacher, didn't.
At lunch, we checked the music rooms once again, but all of them were occupied. We wanted to see the security guard (we call him The Dog) to ask him if he has the keys to the auditorium. He said he didn't. The one who had the keys was this mean guy who we didn't want to talk to.
So we checked the music rooms over and over again, but the people wouldn't leave. We even checked the changing room, but it was locked.
So, disappointed, I went to get hot lunch and got this pumpkin thing (whatever that was) on my dress!
Furious, we ran outside, shouting that we were depressed. Luckily for us, the music rooms were free. We came in and started singing the song we are going to do for Ammy. We did quite well, but our voices weren't the best.
Since we missed homeroom, the next thing we had was languages. I had a German test that I didn't know about!!! How could that day get any worse? The teacher corrected the test straight away. I got a B.
After German, we had English (AGAIN!). This time Ms Manchala didn't allow us to sit together (sad face...). Yasmin told me that she failed the test. I think I did quite well (at least I didn't fail).
Yasmin borrowed her mum's phone for the day. It had the school wifi code in it, so we could use it to go on youtube and listen to the song we were practising. Yasmin never brings any electronics to school so she's not quite used to carrying it around.
Last recess we wanted to go to the music room because during Period 8 we had to sing the song to our music teacher. On our way out we forgot to take our jackets, so we camу back inside for them. Yasmin doesn't have pockets, so she had her mum's phone in her hand. She didn't notice Mr Barrow (the main "phone-confiscator" of the school) standing by. He told Yasmin that she will get it confiscated. We started telling him that it wasn't her phone and that she couldn't give it to him. He accused us for arguing and sent us to what we call "Alice's Wonderland" (the discipline office).
Alice there, talking to two boys, while pictures of little kids appeared on the screen of his computer. We stood there for at least 20 mins. At last, he let us come in.
We kept telling him that Yasmin needed the phone, but he wouldn't let us speak. His face was bright pink. He was shaking.
We were trying to sound as calm and as polite as possible.
"WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING AT ME?" screamed Alice. "I'M NOT SHOUTING AT YOU!"
There was nothing we could do, but apologise. He was the one shouting, not us, but he wasn't even listening to us!
"YOU WON'T LET ME TALK!" interrupted Alice. In reality, it was the opposite. He was the one not letting us talk.
He told us to get out and keep the phone in a very rude way, accusing us for being disrespectful.
On our way to class we saw Mrs Gilbert looking for us. She was very angry and asked us where we were.
During the rehearsal we were almost crying. It wasn't my best singing since my throat was dry.
Next step was maths class. As we rushed to class, we shouted how depressed we are, scaring the people around us. And then it hit us.... We had to bring a ruler, a compass and a protractor. We had neither of these things, so we could not do anything...

Moral: do not celebrate Indian festivals!

9 Oct 2012

Nyan Nyan Nyan Nyan Nihao Nyan! ^_^

It has been a while since my last post. It seems like I don't have inspiration or something. Sometimes at school I just feel like writing, but I don't have the possibility to. When I come home I'm so lazy and tired and ugh... I just feel like doing other things (like watching MyMusic on youtube).
Doesn't it feel like school just started? To me it does. I think my mind is still somewhere in the Summer or the end of 7th grade. And I still can't get over the fact that I'm an 8th grader. I think it's because, as I told you already, everything reminds me of 6th grade. Our homerooms are in the Mont-Blanc building, I have art in the Picasso, I have the same teachers as in 6th grade. Kind of weird! In 6th grade we were the youngest in Middle school and now we are the oldest and nothing has changed. I guess I'm still the same person.
I don't think my friends changed either. Franny - still crazy about fashion and just crazy in life and Yasmin is still perverted. I have many new friends though. We have this some sort if gang. Most of the time I'm with Franny and Yasmin, but also Hibba, Carolina, Paulina and, sometimes, Emma. Sometimes, like today, I'm just with Yasmin at the library or somewhere. Today I was expecting us to go to the library, read quietly, look at books or something, but we ended up laughing at books on Soviet Russia that we suddenly came upon. There's nothing really funny about the stuff we laugh about. It's just the way we do it. Zoom!!! (our word for LOL)
So school is fun so far. (Can't believe I actually said that!!!) My lowest grade for now is a B and I got a 100% for maths and history (with Mme Roussel!!!!).
I'm thinking of doing my own yearbook for the end of the year. Since it's my last year in Middle School (still can't get over that fact! =)) I want to remember every single thing about that. I know it's kind of early to think about it now, but whatever.
I'm also thinking of being a counsellor at the Summer Campus if it is possible. Yasmin wants to too.

The first exam

I remember last year our first exam was history too. It was morning and the sun was shining. Many people were crowded in the hallway, chatting nervously. I was nervous too because it was the first exam I had in my life. I don't know why, but tight after the exam when we were allowed to go to the bathroom everybody went. Many girls, sixth, seventh and eighth graders, just stood there talking. Later, Franny gave me a note from Peter that I no longer have. Then we were called to class and I don't remember what happened next.
This year it's different. The rain outside gives you the feeling of afternoon and not morning. Of course there are people in hallway, but the atmosphere is different. There isn't a huge line to the bathroom and the only people there are 7th graders. We laugh with Franny and Jack during the revision period. None of us actually know what we're doing. We should be studying, but all these names and dates to remember just seem funny to us.
The exam starts. I quickly look through it and find a huge text on one of the pages. That just gets me nervous, but when I find out that many questions are multiple-choice I calm down again. I like those types of questions because at least you can guess.
I take out my lucky pin that I brought with me last year. It's a shiny bee with silver wings and a golden body. Suddenly I think of 6th grade again, I think about all my friends that left. I wish they were here with me. Katja, Peter... Even Tess, Liinu and Ali. And maybe even Raul. There's something about these people that left that no one else can replace.
Anyways, the exam went well. It wasn't easy and it wasn't hard. There were some bits I struggled with, but some were very easy. It was nothing like the exam we had last year, but it doesn't mean it was worse than that.
Tomorrow it's our English exam. So wish me good luck!

International day!!!

Today is International Day. I don't know if you guys have it or if it's just a tradition in our school, but I'll explain what it is anyways. On International day we celebrate the different nationalities and cultures of our school. You can dress in your national costume or something from your country. (Teachers always too.)
We had French first period. Mme Farcy had this Colombian costume. Now I have no idea where she comes from. She wore a Colombian costume, speaks perfect Russian and teaches us French. Well... We had Music (a very very very boring subject) next and History. Mme Roussel wore this asian-looking-made-out-of-silk costume with her hair tied back into a bun. Nothing happened in Physics (as usual).
At the beginning of lunch everyone had to go to homeroom while all the dancers had to go practise. I was nervous for my solo piece, but I was sure I was going to do well. We were given out these gross red shirts (the other group got lovely white ones!) and had to change into our sports shorts (the others were given cute red ones!). All of us arrived to the Concha before the others. There were many stands with food from different countries. They had boiled apples and hot berry juice at the Russian store. I tried it all and recommended it to my friends.
As the show started I became less nervous. Our group dance was 10th but it didn't seem like a long time. When we out to the grass area that was assigned to be our "stage" I realised that it didn't seems like a performance at all. I felt like I was just dancing to myself with a group of friends around me. Niko (the only dude in our dance class and the whole CDL dance team) was so embarrassed. The T-shirt we were all given looked funny on him. The boys were cheering for him.
My solo dance piece was 20th. I changed into my dress and waited for my turn. There were so many people at the Concha now. The teachers all looked very funny in their dresses. Especially the two German teachers: Frau Weinz and Frau Lemacher. They had colourful dresses and aprons and Frau Weinz had braids in her hair (lol!). The funniest thing was the sponge-throwing game (how else can I explain it?). For a certain amount of money you got to throw a sponge at your teacher. There were Mr Pitchford, Mr Wilshurst, M Perron (!!!!) and Mme Roussel (I'm so ashamed I didn't get a turn to throw a sponge at her!). They actually enjoyed themselves (well... all of them except for Mr Pitchford).
Soon it was my turn. And again it didn't feel like it was performance. I just went on the "stage" and started dancing. I didn't smile a lot, though because the song I was dancing to wasn't really made for people to smile at. People cheered for me (you should have heard Yaz. She shouted like crazy, "GO SONYA!!!!). I wasn't scared because the people in the audience were all my friends or at least the people I knew. Yasmin and Franny were filming me. I'm sure I did very well because many people were congratulating me after.
So that was International Day! Tomorrow it's gona be crazy day!

These crazy humans

Why should we study something we barely know about?
Why are we afraid to say "I don't know"?
Why do we believe everything we see?
Why don't we use our logic, compare and analyse?
I'm talking about history, you know.

My schedule

This is my school schedule.
Maths class is quite fun. Miss Dixon explaines everything so well! I just work like a machine, automatically calculating stuff in my head, writing down numbers as quick as possible. I don't feel tired or interested. I can only feel my brain working.
French class is the weirdest class ever. Especially for Nimsay, who, all of a sudden, starts shouting out random stuff and makes pig noises. I just sit there, trying not to crack up laughing, feeling Mme Farcy's eyes at me. She never says anything about me, it's all about Nimsay, who can't help herself saying "Mwahahaha! Swastika!"
History and Geo are all the same. Mme Roussel walks in with her Adidas bag, a blue beret, a green jacket and jeans and starts talking in her high tone voice. She writes a lot of stuff on the board, underlining, circling, putting arrows and crosses. All that stuff just makes us confused. First she tells us to leave all our books in our lockers, but then she tells us that we have to carry them in our bags all the time. She says that french girls are not hot, but sexy. She talks about pop quizzes, extra credits and projects and can't shut up about music. Are we doing any geo or his? Yes, we do.
English is either quiet and calm or very loud and noisy. We do our work (like book portfolios, wordly wise, grammar worksheets), hearing Missis Manchala shouting out "You're doing the minimum to get by!" "Think outside the box!" "Take that pervergence out of my class! You have a sick mind!" "Put yourself in his/her shoes!" "I'm not illiterate!" "Do not defy me!"
Biology is my favourite subject. With Mme Jaquer we talk about the way our body works. Everyone just sits there with their mouth open. Nobody is ever bored. We're not afraid to say something that would be called pervergence in Missis Manchala's class. It's all very interesting and fun.
Physics is the opposite nobody knows what to do. M Dalache does nothing, so we do nothing.
German class is torture. It's very hot and I can't concentrate. I understand every word Frau  Dolbert says, but I forget it after I hear it. I try to concentrate, but I can't. I love German as a language, but I hate it as a class.
I'm not going to talk about Dance, Music, Arts & Crafts, Art and CSL because it's not that interesting.
So these are the subjects I have at school. What about you?
