Update

So a lot of things happened since my last post. I went on a parachute "ride" and it was an amazing experience! I felt like I was flying since I could see everything underneath me!
The next day it was my dad's birthday. Mitja and I composed a pretty badass rap for him. We left to Albania afterwards and I gotta say that it's one of the most beautiful countries I've ever seen if not the most beautiful one. I wish I had my camera with me. In the evening we went to quite a nice restaurant. Everyone was saying that I look beautiful with make-up on. I dont really like the way I look in make-up. I guess I'm just not used to it.
The next day we went to a flea market. I wish I could've stated there forever because I loved everything about it. After the flea market we all went to a big empty shopping centre. I had to shop for dresses which I hate doing. I don't really like the way I look like in dresses. Again, I'm not used to wearing them. The dress I got is red and it looks like a Japanese school uniform at the top and a kimono at the bottom. When I first tried it on, I had knee of those "Cinderella" moments when you look in the mirror and don't recognise yourself. That's how well it suits me.
I left Albania the next day, but, before leaving, I went to an amazing Italian reastaurant. I honestly had the impression that I tried Sanji's cooking because it was so good and it even looked like something Sanji would cook.
On the 20th, I left to London. Yayyyy!!! I was surprised by how nice English people are. Seriously. I've been living in a French-speaking country all this time. I'm finally with Yasmin!!!!!

Spring is my favourite time of the year!

I had my birthday party today and it was more enjoyable than I could ever had imagined it to be. The theme was cooking, just like it was in 6th Grade. We had two ours to prepare a whole meal, including a started, a main course and desert. After we have finished cooking, we sat around the table and ate. We could barely finish what was on our plates because the meal was very filling. We talked and laughed and I felt very pleased because I understood that I was surrounded with the best people ever! Matthew was doing his weatherman impression and all of us where a bit sad that Charlie couldn't make it to the party.
After the party, Mickael, Rosa, Nina, Yasmin and I went to the lake and ate ice cream even though I was still very full.

Diary of a 12-year-old

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the diary I had when I was 10 years old. This week I am going to write about a blog I had when I was in 6th Grade. (It was on a Russian social website for children.) It was the best year of my life. The following things are translated from Russian to English and my translating skills are not so good :/
This was my first post:
So here we are… One more week until school starts. Homework, lessons and other things I don’t like. In 5th grade they scared us so much by telling us about middle school so that some people even wanted to stay in primary for another year. But actually, I don’t care. Homework – I will do it, lessons – I will survive. No… Middle school is something… The twins from my school bus told us everything about it. They love it there. There are a lot of teachers, you have a lot more friends than you did in primary, first love. It sounds pretty cool. The thing that interests me the most is lockers. It’s like when you go inside a shop and you have to leave certain things in a locker. We’re also going to have those! I am going to have my own keys! I don’t know what middle school is about yet, but all 6th graders are really cool! Maybe I will also be cool?
Awwww.... I was so excited to go to Middle School. That was such a long time ago. This post is about my first day in 6th Grade:
Mica is very pretty today!

Trick-or-Treat!

Went trick-or-treating yesterday with Yatthhhhmeeeen and Maho. It was a lot of fun. Surprisingly, a lot of the people we visited last year left. We didn't get as much candy as we did last year since not many people would open their door. We also managed to "sneak into" the school dance that took place in my old school. A lot of people were surprised to see me again. Here are some photos:
Let's all agree that Yasmin does not look like a zombie.... Even when we left she was still convinced that she didn't put enough blood on her face ><

Maho: Raarrr! Am I scary yet?
Yasmin: Rrrrrred-face swag! Am I sexy yet?
Me: Zombies are so mainstream. Ima do nyan!

My girl Maho! She likes Vocaloid therefore she's awesome!

Yasmin looks black. Please come up with a funny caption for this photo because I can't think of any ><

Another caption for this photo please >< zoum!

I look so kawaii! ^^

So scary, right?

=INTERNATIONAL DAY 2013=

I'm sure I wrote about International Day last year so if you don't know what it is please click here
Due to bad weather it was a little bit different this year, but it was still very fun.
In art class my friends and I got in trouble for using my iPad in class... We were drawing flags on our faces and I got it confiscated for a couple of minutes. I drew this really creepy thing and left it in the art class.
Hot lunch was cancelled so all of us went around different areas of the school to try food from different countries. Luckily there was a stall with Indian food. Yasmin and I got everything there was.
This is Yasmin with the Egyptian flag on one cheek and the English flag on the other. We also drew the AUM and the Indian flag on out hands!

A big shout-out to the Indian girls who were there! You are all awesome!!!

We didn't go to our next class and spent another 40 minutes outside. It was a lot of fun!
After school Franny, Marina, Yasmin and I had a very interesting talk.
I love you guys! <3

Messages...

So today Yasmin spas to stay at home and school was a bit more boring than usual. I was on Facebook for the whole day talking to her and "delivering" her messages to others. Most of them were addressed to Mrs Manchala.... Basically, at home Yasmin was "using her time wisely to brush up on her Hindi". Zoum! Congratulations to her! Now she knows what "mera nam Yasmin hai" means....
I can't wait till Sunday! It's going to be Easter! It's a very important event for the The Faith of the World project! Yasmin and I are going to the Russian Orthodox Church here in town. For once I'm actually looking forward to going to a church.

My Bible got confiscated...

Look at the title of this post once again? Doesn't it sound stupid? I mean, at school, you can get your phone, iPod, etc. confiscated. But... the Bible?
This morning I brought my Bible to school to show it to Yasmin. We couldn't stop reading it. In English class we sat there reading and underlining interesting things we could find. Yes, I know, class isn't the right time to read something like that... But it's so interesting!!!
No one takes Computers seriously. So Yasmin and I continued reading. Mr Woodbridge asked us what the book was called. He took it and looked at the cover. His face: priceless!
"The Holy Bible," he said. "That's weird. Is it your new 'thing'? First, India, then the Bible?"
(Wow... Just because we make fun of the accent so much doesn't mean we are into "India"... Seriously!)
So he casually walked away with a strange look on his face...
As we continued, Mrs L, our computer teacher, appeared behind us. She took the book. The thought "hit" us and we couldn't stop laughing. We got our Bible confiscated!
After class, to avoid further problems, we rushed outside, hoping that Mrs L gave it to Mr Woodbridge. No. It was worse than that. At lunch we came back to the computer room to see if the Bible was still there. Miss D was standing at the entrance and asked us, "What do you, girls, want?" Not thinking how strange it might sound, I answered, "The Bible." We told her how it got confiscated. Honestly, I would rather get my phone confiscated. At least, it's understandable!
Of course, the Bible wasn't there, so Yasmin and I went to reception. We asked if we can talk to Mrs L. When she came out she told us that she is going to give the book to M Perron, our discipline advisor.
Shouting things like "She worships the devil!", "She's going to burn it!", "My Bible!!!" etc., we ran to the discipline office. We asked M Peron if he has the book.
"The B i b l e...?"
"I would be afraid to confiscate that," said Steve, standing nearby.
So Sonyasmin went back to reception to find Mrs Lemale casually walking outside. We followed her back to the office.
The three of them, M Peron, M B and Mrs L, were in the office for about 20 minutes. They were talking and flipping through the pages of the Bible... I think they just couldn't get over the fact that it was just a Bible with no hidden messages or notes in it! Steve walked by and saw us standing by the wall and said, "I've been working in this school for 10 years and this is the first time they confiscated a Bible."
"We're good Christian girls," we said. (Meh... Kind of hard to explain this inside joke...)
Finally, Mrs L walked out of the office. We knocked on the door and went inside.
"On page 1000something," said M Peron, "it says 'do not disrespect authority.'"
Wow... They used a quote from the Bible against us... Coooool.... *slow clap*
After going back and forth to the office and to class we finally got it back.
The moral of the story: don't read the Bible in class. Telling everyone the story of how you got it confiscated is very embarassing...

We're invisible!

So yesterday it was Friday.
In art class we were doing masks. We had to lie on the desk and our partner had to put this liquid-white-bandage-thing on out face. Yasmin and I were smarter... We found a mask and instead of doing the design on someone else we did it on the mask in another room.
After school we decided to go to the auditorium. The projector and the computer were there this time. We connected both of them and logged on the computer. But the mouse wasn't working. I found a way to control the computer without the mouse and looked for a nice picture (of something not really... Yeah... Not telling you...). Suddenly the French section principal walked in. Everything was projected on the screen so I pressed alt+F4. He walked out the other door and didn't even notice us... Finally we found the right picture. We couldn't find a way to zoom in on it. Then another important member of the staff walked in. This time the alt+F4 didn't work... But he didn't notice us either!
We couldn't find a way to zoom in on the photo we found so we gave up and switched everything off. (Listen, I don't know how to clear the history without a mouse...)
After Simply my mum told me that Vasjok, my cousin, will not be coming to the summer campus this summer. I was really sad... What am I going to do?

16 Apr 2013

Back to school!

This time I was very happy and excited to be back at school. But let's take a step back and have a look at what I have done over the past few days.
On Friday Yasmin and I went to the mountains. Surprisingly, it was so hot and sunny you wouldn't be able to tell if it was summer or spring. The most exciting thing was the "hike". We went to a nearby forest and, instead of taking the usual path, decide to explore. After walking for what seemed like forever we got out of the forest. We were very thirsty and tired, crossed the river and bought two bottles of water in a restaurant. We were very proud of ourselves.
I spent the night at Yasmin's house and the next day we went to the cinema with Franny and Carolina. We saw The Croods.

Yasmin was skipping to English class and I was like "Chod my life! This kutiya is embarrassing me!" I didn't really mind having this class today. I showed Yasmin the drawing I did during my holidays. (Unfortunately, I can't publish it here.) It's about how we climbed trees, ditched assembly and how many things look like from our point of view. I find it very funny.
Computers was probably something I was looking forward to. I hate the class (if you can even call it that). I forgot what we were doing...
Lunch was calmer than usual and so was homeroom.
I made a couple of pictures in Photography class.

27 Mar 2013

I hate the day after my birthday... -_-

Don't you just hate it when you were waiting for something for the whole year and then it's over... I was so excited for the 26th of March and now it seems like it has happened a while ago.
Today was quite a fun school day. It was meant to be "open day" at my school, but no visitors came. Maybe I just didn't see them...
Throughout the whole period of Maths Yasmin and I couldn't stop complaining. We are doing circles and arcs now. It's boring itself, but in the morning it's just unbearable! I was repeating CML (that stands for Chod My Life) in my head... That's how horrible it was.
Yes, I did say that today was a fun school day. Doesn't look like it, does it?
At lunch Franny, Yasmin, Carolina and I went to the library. We took the elevator since we found out the code. Upstairs, there was an art exhibition that was kind of creepy. In the library Carolina showed us the school that she's going to next year. It's an old only-girls'-school in London. It has an American system and it's Catholic. Poor Carolina.... =(
The first period of English was horrible. Ms Wilson was substituting and we had to work in our books. I decided to use my time wisely and did my Maths homework instead. Luckily, Mrs Manchala came back for the second period and we read a poem that I forgot the title of.
When I was walking home with Belek I told him about "chod" and "madarchod" and "gaandu". He was just shouting the words out... -_-
Looking back it wasn't actually a fun school day... I don't know why I said that...

26th of March 2013

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Instead of writing I made quite a long video about how I celebrated it!

24 Mar 2013

Lip Dub time!!!

Friday was a very fun day, as usual. In CSL we were talking about drugs and Yasmin and I made Emma say "Viagra makes you horny".
Art was the worst and the best class at the same time. I didn't do anything and Sonyasmin spent more than 50% of her time in the bathroom. We managed to escape. Well, not really. We asked to go to our lockers to get our art supplies. I made a video about it, but due to what we have said in that video I can't put it up. Later, I found strawberries in my bag and we ate them. Omnomnom!
After school Yasmin and I decided to make a lip dub to "the indian nipple song". We only managed to film the introduction, but it was still very fun to make. The best thing was that we tried to turn my purple scarf into something that looks like a sari. We failed...
After Simply Theatre I went to Yasmin's house. The next day we climbed trees and saw many friendly cats. Here's a video about it.
-skip to 15:43 to listen to a very intelligent discussion about the applied and the literal meaning of the word "namaste"
-skip to 02:01 to see a friendly cat
-skip to 13:31 to see some weirdows dancing in slow motion
-skip to 06:42 to see the tree

16 Mar 2013

We are a family (yeah yeah yeah)!

Friday was very fun!
We had an algebra CTP4 test in the morning. The beginning was very easy and I thought I was going to do well, but I had to guess the last questions since I didn't know how to solve them.
After Art we had "General Knowledge" match. Our team lost and I was disappointed.
In homeroom we had our own General Knowledge competition. Yasmin, Franny, me, Niko and Hugo got to ask the class random questions. One of them was so funny, Yasmin and I had to run outside because we were laughing too much. The first thing we saw was the bathroom, so we ran in there and zoumed. Mme Boisson (my French teacher) heard us and told us to go to class. I don't think anyone noticed us missing.
After school was the best part of it. We didn't go to Simply this Friday since I was involved in the dance show. Carolina also stayed with us. Franny went to Happy Days and the three of us decided to go upstairs to the auditorium like last week. After what we've done the week before, they removed the computer. The projector was in the corner, unplugged and there were only two white board markers. Also, the two doors were locked so we had to sneak through the library door without anyone noticing.
We made a harlem shake video (that was a fail) and drew on the board. We wrote a lot of stuff, but erased everything after. I wrote "Carolina will kill you!". Next week we have to make a lip dub to, our favourite, nipple song!
The dance show was kind of embarrassing.... I really didn't like the dance we were doing... Everyone told me that our dance group was very good, but I still didn't like it. It wasn't the worst though.... At least, I wasn't doing the Indian dance. The Indian dance was like one pound fish. They had the same costumes.
Today I had to wake up very early (at 9 or something) to get to the train. I got there 30 minutes early and had to wait in the cold. Franny arrived. Yasmin and Carolina did too. The four of us went to the chocolate festival that was five minutes away. We didn't have much time so the only thing we bought was a chocolate rabbit for our friend Lydie (because it said Lidi on it). I also got chocolate fondue that was amazing.
We only had about three minutes until the train and we wanted to get to the train station as soon as possible. There was a train/tourist bus going around the festival. We got in it and were hoping to end up close to the train station. Instead the "train" drove to and around the chocolate factory and stopped at the same distance to the station as we were before. This is called karma, my friends.... Don't be lazy...
We rushed to the ticket machine, but had no time. The machine didn't take Yasmin's 100chf note and it was the only thing we had. We hopped into the train quickly.
Suddenly we saw Niko getting on. He sat next to us.
When they came to check our tickets I showed the old one I had in my purse from this morning. Franny has hers. She gave Carolina her one week old ticket. The people who looked at our tickets didn't even check the date. Yasmin didn't have anything except her 100chf note. They took her address, phone number and name. Now, her mum has to pay... Niko was just laughing there.... XD
We met Marina and Lydie at Molinos, an Italian restaurant. Marina only had two hours since she had to go back to the hospital. We had a great time!
After that Yasmin, Franny, Carolina and I went for a walk around the old town. The thing is that our darling Carolina is a little devil. She would be all calm and nice and then, suddenly, she would start shouting "Oh hell no! Aint' nobody got time for dat!" and swearing and blaming everything on indians (why....???). At one point she started singing in a low black person's accent voice "we are a family! yeah yeah yeah! ooo hell ya baby baby!". After that she'd go all quiet again and tell us to calm down. And then she would shout again. She even shouted "I'm black!". She learned how to say the word madarchod from us and now she says it all the time! Carolina is amazing! I love her so much!
We went to the playground and creeped some little kids out. I never had so much fun on a playground before....
I love my messed up friends!
note: So... My friends and I are a family. Yasmin and I adopted Carolina. She is our stepdaughter. Franny is Carolina's "ghetto aunt". Carolina had her aunt's voice.... Marina is Franny's husband, so she is Carolina's uncle. Lydie is their child, so she is Carolina's cousin. Hiba is Yasmin's mum and my mother-in-law. Yay!

Saturday!!!!!!!

Today was the most amazing Saturday ever!
This morning I went shopping with Mum. The weather was nice and warm. Spring finally arrived!
Franny met me at Starbucks. Ten minutes later Yasmin joined us and the three of us started our journey.
We didn't know where to go exactly. The tram to the hospital was number 12 so we went to the train station to find out where it was. The stop ended up being on the main street of the city centre. Without getting a ticket we got into the tram that brought us to a street we've never been too. We had to wait 20 minutes for the other bus to arrive. Carolina was waiting for us at the hospital.
The hospital was the scariest place I've ever been to. Our friend, Marina, was on the second floor in the children-teenagers section. The walls were covered with drawings of animals and other colourful things. There were glass doors along the corridor. Behind one of these doors was Marina's room. As we came up to one of the doors we could see shadows behind it. The glass was tinted so we couldn't see the inside. There was only one place you could look through. Pale children with black circles under their eyes were lifting each other up so one of them could see us. They were like zombies, hungry for us.
Some children had visitors. A pale dark-eyed girl in a dressing gown passed by us. Her parents were talking to her, but she didn't seem to notice them. Another boy was carried in a cage-like cart.
The doctor came out and told us that we were not allowed to visit Marina this week. He took our gifts we brought for her and left.
The four of us took the tram back to the city centre and went to a nearby cafe. The cafe served this hot chocolate that was called Kama Sutra, so we decided to have it (zoum). It had a very strong bitter chocolate taste, a bit of ginger and whipped cream. Yasmin and I also took a big macaron each. It was very good!
After we decided to go "shopping". (I say "shopping" since we didn't have much money and we didn't buy anything.) We visited every single shop: H&M, Benetton, Tally Wejl, Orsay, Pimkie, Promod, Zara and even the Apple Store. We stopped at another cafe to drink some ice tea since we were quite thirsty.
The shops were starting to close because it was already six o'clock. We stopped at a restaurant and had sushi. When we were done it was already dark.
Franny, Yasmin, Carolina and I "climbed up" to the old town. We found a playground and had a lot of fun (yes, we're like 14, but, I mean, come on! Who wouldn't go on the swings!). After that, we went to the Cathedral and took a photo of us in front of it.
We got Carolina home by taking the bus.
Yasmin, Franny and I waited for Yasmin's mum at Starbucks. We didn't get anything, but it was still very fun. We talked about Sports class (running the mile? Oh hell no!), English class (got a bad grade on my essay? Oh hell no!) and CTP4 tests (not missing English or Sports? Oh hell no!). Soon, Yasmin's mum arrived and took us all home!
Today was just.... Awesome!!! I <3 my friends!

Our trip to India

Guess why today was so fun...! Because we didn't do anything at school! We don't have any "serious" subjects on Fridays (like Maths or English). The only things we have are CSL, Music, Art, Special, Geo and  Science.
In CSL we were "watching" a video about drugs... It was some fat American guy talking in the most annoying accent and voice! Yasmin and I were "taking notes" on my iPad.
In Art I didn't do anything either since I finished all my work last week. I made purple using paint and went crazy about how amazing it was. Our teacher hates our class because we never do anything productive and "watch disgusting inappropriate videos that you can watch at home" (- Mr. Woodbridge's quote).
At lunch Mr Woodbridge sat with us. He's never sitting with us again...... :-/
We had an assembly after lunch. It was all in French and... It sucked like all the other assemblies we had (except the one we ditched).
Our Science teacher is on a trip and we had Mr Hitz as a substitute. We were supposed to be doing an experiment, but no one knew what we were doing exactly. Franny and I ended up having water fights.
During the second period of Science more than half of our class was gone to do the debate. The rest of us were on our phones, tablets and laptops, playing games or taking pictures and posting them on Facebook.
The best part of the day was after school.
Yasmin, Franny and I found out that our classroom was unlocked and decided to stay in there. We acted out being in English class and ended up sitting on the floor at the back of the room (aka "the Hell No! club"). Sadly, we got cought and had to leave.
After going to the top of the Grenier we went up to the Cervin auditorium that was unlocked too!!! There were whiteboard markers so we wrote stuff on the white board. There was also a piano and we were singing (Franny's amazing black voice) and playing.
Next to the door there was a projector and a computer on a desk. We logged into the computer (the password was written on the computer itself) and turned the projector on. Franny found pictures of Taj Mahal and projected it onto the wall. I took a photo of us in front of it...

Imagine if M Peron finds out and (for some random reason) we get sent to his office again. What would the letter home be like? "Yasmin and two friends sneaked into the learningwhateverarea unsupervised, hacked the computer and using their electronic device took photos in front of a building that they projected on a wall..."
On our way to Simply (we were late) Yasmin and I decided that if they ask us why we are late we would tell them that we just came back from our trip to India. Zoum!
After Simply, I quickly put my shoes on since I didn't want to be late to the train. I saw my mum standing outside so I opened the front door and saw..... My dad was standing there. It took me a couple of moments to think about it. At first I thought that he wasn't real, but... Oh my! That was him.
Dad said that he's going to Paris by car and he was passing by Geneva. He gave us a lift home and left.
I was speechless...

28 Feb 2013

Doing my english essay.... -_-

Since my dad is coming tomorrow (yay!!!!!!!! party and party and party!!!!!! wooohoooo!!!!!!) I had to do the English essay today... -_-
I came home quite late since I had choir after school today and had to take the bus home.
I sat at the computer and opened a blank Word document. I started writing some crap I could think of at first, but failed every time. This is how it turned out:

I went on Facebook since I didn't have the instructions paper and asked Yasmin for it. I tried to start writing again.
Soon, Yasmin sent me the paper. I was hoping it would help me, but this is what I got (with some corrections in red):
So I decided to do the essay another day.... -_-

Sweet Revenge!
Yasmin asked me to send her 'Problem Solving'!

10 Feb 2013

Vacation!

Friday was the last day before Ski week. After Csl, Music and other boring school subjects, Yasmin and I stayed after school.
The funny thing about our school is that after 10 or so minutes after the last bell, the place becomes deserted. It feels like you're in an abandoned town. It's dead silent and not a single person is outside.
After going to the cafe Yaz and I decided to go to the top of the Grenier.
The Grenier is quite a small building. The cafe is located at the first floor. There's also a sports shop where you can buy sports clothes, hats, swimming suits, etc. Next to the cafe there's an office. It used to be the discipline office before. I don't know which one it is now.
If you go upstairs you'll find yourself in a small room with round tables and chairs. There's also a microwave. The wall to your left is painted and decorated with characters from video games (for example Omnom from cut the rope). To the opposite of the door there's a swirly staircase. On the top of it there's a big lock that wouldn't let anyone inside. If you look up you will be able to see the roof and a part of the attic floor.
To the right of the staircase and next to the microwave, there's a door that leads to the next room. It is quite small, but it has many chairs and tables inside. Behind the door at the corner of the room, there are stairs to the attic. In the attic there's quite a big mess. The door that leads to the other half of the attic, that you can see from the first room, is locked.
The third room is bigger than the first one, but it is still small. There are armchairs and a tv. There are also tables and chairs. The walls are decorated with hand prints and graffiti-like letters.
The room next to that one is the play room.
At the top of the Grenier Yasmin and I had our salad. We wanted to go to the attic, but there was someone in there. When we were done, we went outside, sat on the bench in front of reception, took Pon pon (my iPad) out and started playing the Indian nipple song. Zoum! Sasha, a guy from my after school bus, came to join us. We talked about the most random stuff ever. Soon, it was time to go.
Simply Theatre was quite fun. At break time Yaz and I sat in the Green room and imitated Dill from 'To kill a Mockingbird'. It made us laugh so much that we were very sick afterwards.
In dance class we discussed our teachers and at some point we came to the topic of Missis Manchala (oooffff! I'm starting to mention her so often!). Everyone said that she was super nice and cool and awesome.
One piece of information made us so sick that Yasmin couldn't participate in the rest of the activities.
So that was my last day of school! And now I'm bored.....

Valentine's Dance 2013

Yesterday, it was the Valentine's Day Dance at my school.
In the morning Carolina got a rose from Vlad and she was very excited about it. She thought he liked her and couldn't stop talking about it.
Maths was fist period. Nothing really happened because we had a quiz that was supposed to be our chapter test.
German was next. It was a double. During the second period we went up to the auditorium to listen to Anne Fine, a childrens' writer who came to visit our school.
Everyone thought she was funny, while Yaz and I sat at the back facepalming like "This is sad...". She talked about depressing stuff like her crazy kids. I don't know if I understood it right, but she said that her son had a rotten brain, one of her daughters was a misanthrope and another daughter floated around the house. She also told us about the funniest book she has written. It is about a boy trying to commit suicide and failing every time....
And another thing: I don't read childrens' books!
Then it was English class. It wasn't that bad.... (Wait! What??? Did I just admit liking English class???!!!!! What's wrong with me???) Yasmin was being what the others call "racist". Our teacher didn't really mind because I guess she has a sense of humour.
After that we had French and Music. There wasn't anything that interesting about these subjects.
After school the four of us (Franny, Yasmin, Carolina and me) went to Franny's house. Marina came later since she (lucky!!!!) had to re-do a science test.
We put our dresses and make-up on and came (as always!) fashionably-late!
It was very cold outside, but inside the building it was very hot.
The dance was in the auditorium. There is a stage at the back. Next to and behind the stage there is a little place covered with black curtains. In there there are chairs, desks and other things people need for plays or concerts. On the right side of the stage there's a door. Behind it there's a room with other equipment like costumes or mirrors. In the room there are stairs going to the balcony where they have the music. There's also another door in that room. You can enter it from the stage and from the outside.
Ms Lemale didn't let anyone go behind the stage. Since Yaz and I are rebels (zoum! zoum! zoum!) we did not listen to her (zoum! zoum! zoum!). We went inside the little room and came out from the other entrance that leads to the back of the stage. We did it two times and.... Got in trouble... What the heck...?
Franny, Yasmin, Carolina, Marina and I decided to take a photo. Our money was downstairs, so we came down to get it. We found Missis Manchala there. I feel sorry for the teachers.... Really....
We took the photo, ate some pizza and went to dance.
Yasmin and I got kind of bored so we started making up another epic escape plan (just in case we have to escape from the auditorium for some random reason).
The building is divided into two parts: the Eiger and the Cervin. The dance was in the Eiger auditorium and the food was in the Cervin auditorium. In the Cervin auditorium there are two doors. One of them was open for everyone. It led to the elevator and the stairs. The other door was also unlocked, but we weren't allowed to go there. But for Yaz and I a "no" means a "yes".
We sneaked through the door and ran downstairs. We took the fire escape ones so no one notices us. (Now I sound stupid... Two 13-year-old girls running around the building in heels... Who wouldn't notice that?) We ran to the first floor and, of course, Missis Manchala saw us. As we saw her we ran back up the stairs and sneaked into the first bathroom. (Now I sound even more stupid... Hiding...?Why...? No one was really after us....)
Today in English class Missis Manchala told us that she really didn't like that. She said that she didn't tell Mr Gilbert (our principal). When she was saying that I was waiting for her to say "I didn't tell Mr Gilbert, but I told M Peron instead!" Luckily, she didn't say that.
The dance was over before I knew it. Everyone rushed outside and the place became deserted.
Unforgettable experience.

30 Jan 2013

I don't know what to write about so.... I'm just going to write about my day...?

Today was kinda boring since it was Wednesday aka Double Day. We have double Maths in the morning, double German, double English (ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!) and French and Music at the end of the day.
Nothing happened in Maths... Our teacher was explaining something to us and it didn't make sense to me... Yasmin printed out this really useful thing she found on the Internet about circle theorems. It helped me more than the teacher's explanation...
German was... I wouldn't say it was fun, but we were watching a movie so... yeah.... (my writing skills are awesome, right!)
Lunch was cool. We sat with Dilbar (this dude from choir), but he thought we were bullying him and ran away...

Ok whatever.... This post sucks.....................

In English class Ms Manchala made us stand for like the whole period... Everyone finished reading the book except for a few people (that includes me). I CAN NOT concentrate on it. I sit (well, stand) there, read and then all of a sudden I realise that I'm not paying any attention to what I'm reading. Especially today when we had to stand! My bag was at my feet, I wanted to kick it away, but it was way too heavy to move. I tried to lean against the wall, but leaning against shelves is not very comfortable. I ended up standing straight and probably looking like a retard because I was constantly going turning the pages in my book trying to figure out what was going on... I could not read because our teacher was taking to us... How can you read and listen at the same time? Sometimes, I put my book down and listened to the unnecessary remarks she was making. I would forget where I was in the story... Yasmin was depressed because our daught..... that's personal. She was whispering stuff to me and I was very sad. Since we had to be silent, our teacher would tell us to shut up and we had to stand for an even longer period of time......

Well, I guess English was inspirational. I can't believe I wrote that much... I just love describing the things I hate.......

After, we had French (grumblegrumble) and Music (themostboringsubjectintheworldafterenglish)....
That post was amazing, wasn't it? I know.... I'm so "proud" of it.... Yeah..... Bye...... Meh.....

AMSTERDAM!!! (continued)

The next day, we wake up when it's dark.
Breakfast is the best thing ever! There's no "recycled food" like in Village Camps. Everything is fresh and well cooked. I make myself a cheese sandwich and drink some juice. Since we were quite late, we finish quickly, take the things we need for the festival and hurry to the bus.
The school we were performing at is called ASH. I thought it was something like the "Amsterdam International school" or "Amsterdam School of whatever...", but I was wrong. The school ended up being "The American School of Haag". Yes, the AMERICAN school of haag.
As I enter the building, I realise that it's not that hard to tell that the school is American. My eyes hurt from all the colours around me. There are so many posters and drawing and flags and more posters.....
We find out when and where we're preforming and go to the "hang-out" place. It's a big room with many chairs and desks. We leave our stuff there and start to practise the songs.
Yasmin and I walk around, exploring the school. It's so colourful. The posters shout "Be yourself!" "Speak up!" "Show us your personality!". There is even a poster that said "I love both my dads! I have a perfect family!". It shows a picture of a little girl holding two man by the hands. The background is the rainbow flag...

There's nothing wrong with homosexuality, but it's just unacceptable to put posters like this in a school! Some people don't see anything wrong with it, but I do! I don't think you should be open about these things with people! Especially, in a school! There was also a poster that said "be who you want to be" with a picture of a men dressed in women's clothes.... You don't put things like that in a school!!!
A school is supposed to be a place for learning. It's supposed to make you more mature. You don't put toys in a classroom! Maybe, preschoolers... Ok... They're small and everything... But a 4th grade class with stuffed animals.... No!!!
They want to make their students responsible, but instead they do the opposite! They just tell them facts (eg: being racist is bad), but they don't explain it to them. They make the decision, instead of letting the children choose. So how does it make their students responsible?

My performance with the choir goes quite well. Unfortunately, we only have six people with us...
After the choir comes our duet with Yasmin. I'm nervous, but also excited. We sing nicely and the judge is happy with us. I'm very proud!
Yasmin and I go to the big cafeteria and buy a snack. There are large flags on the walls.
Next to us there are long tables. There's a chess competition. Suddenly, a wild idea appears.
Yaz and I come up to the players and say, "Do you know where chess was invented?" As the kids shake their heads we say, "Chess was invented in India in 600 A.D." and point at the Indian flag.
Zoum!!!

In our school agendas there's a fact for every week. That week the fact was "Chess was invented in India in 600 A.D.

We left the HORRIBLE school in the evening, when it was dark.
Dinner was amazing. We could take anything we wanted.
Since it was Gemma's birthday we also had a delicious cake! Omnomnom!

We also got ribbons for participating. I got a blue one and a red one! Red is for div.II and blue is for div.I
We left the next morning........ Sad face....... =(

IT WAS THE BESTESTEST TRIP EVERRRR!!!!!
