Victory Day, my first IGCSE exam and I dyed my hair!!!

My new 'air!!! Do you like it? Do you? Do you? I know you do! Wait who am I talking to? Forever alone T_T (casually advertising my insta account hu hu hu)
It was Victory Day on Friday and it was one of these days that I would call "the best day of my life". I think that confidence was given to me by my new hair colour. Purple hair all the way!!!
I saw some people wearing the Georgiy ribbon. I wish I had one too, but to make up for not having one Dasha and I were singing Russian military songs. At lunch time Rosa and I went to the piano room and were told to never come back there again because we broke a picture frame and made a lot of noise. I wasn't really worried about that because I don't have feelings, but Rosa, who has feelings, felt very guilty. I spent the rest of lunch with my nakama (the name I have given to my best friends after watching a lot of One Piece).
After lunch I had my French IGCSE exam. It was a joke and we were allowed to leave an hour early because everyone had finished the paper in forty or so minutes.

Valentine's Dance 2013

Yesterday, it was the Valentine's Day Dance at my school.
In the morning Carolina got a rose from Vlad and she was very excited about it. She thought he liked her and couldn't stop talking about it.
Maths was fist period. Nothing really happened because we had a quiz that was supposed to be our chapter test.
German was next. It was a double. During the second period we went up to the auditorium to listen to Anne Fine, a childrens' writer who came to visit our school.
Everyone thought she was funny, while Yaz and I sat at the back facepalming like "This is sad...". She talked about depressing stuff like her crazy kids. I don't know if I understood it right, but she said that her son had a rotten brain, one of her daughters was a misanthrope and another daughter floated around the house. She also told us about the funniest book she has written. It is about a boy trying to commit suicide and failing every time....
And another thing: I don't read childrens' books!
Then it was English class. It wasn't that bad.... (Wait! What??? Did I just admit liking English class???!!!!! What's wrong with me???) Yasmin was being what the others call "racist". Our teacher didn't really mind because I guess she has a sense of humour.
After that we had French and Music. There wasn't anything that interesting about these subjects.
After school the four of us (Franny, Yasmin, Carolina and me) went to Franny's house. Marina came later since she (lucky!!!!) had to re-do a science test.
We put our dresses and make-up on and came (as always!) fashionably-late!
It was very cold outside, but inside the building it was very hot.
The dance was in the auditorium. There is a stage at the back. Next to and behind the stage there is a little place covered with black curtains. In there there are chairs, desks and other things people need for plays or concerts. On the right side of the stage there's a door. Behind it there's a room with other equipment like costumes or mirrors. In the room there are stairs going to the balcony where they have the music. There's also another door in that room. You can enter it from the stage and from the outside.
Ms Lemale didn't let anyone go behind the stage. Since Yaz and I are rebels (zoum! zoum! zoum!) we did not listen to her (zoum! zoum! zoum!). We went inside the little room and came out from the other entrance that leads to the back of the stage. We did it two times and.... Got in trouble... What the heck...?
Franny, Yasmin, Carolina, Marina and I decided to take a photo. Our money was downstairs, so we came down to get it. We found Missis Manchala there. I feel sorry for the teachers.... Really....
We took the photo, ate some pizza and went to dance.
Yasmin and I got kind of bored so we started making up another epic escape plan (just in case we have to escape from the auditorium for some random reason).
The building is divided into two parts: the Eiger and the Cervin. The dance was in the Eiger auditorium and the food was in the Cervin auditorium. In the Cervin auditorium there are two doors. One of them was open for everyone. It led to the elevator and the stairs. The other door was also unlocked, but we weren't allowed to go there. But for Yaz and I a "no" means a "yes".
We sneaked through the door and ran downstairs. We took the fire escape ones so no one notices us. (Now I sound stupid... Two 13-year-old girls running around the building in heels... Who wouldn't notice that?) We ran to the first floor and, of course, Missis Manchala saw us. As we saw her we ran back up the stairs and sneaked into the first bathroom. (Now I sound even more stupid... Hiding...?Why...? No one was really after us....)
Today in English class Missis Manchala told us that she really didn't like that. She said that she didn't tell Mr Gilbert (our principal). When she was saying that I was waiting for her to say "I didn't tell Mr Gilbert, but I told M Peron instead!" Luckily, she didn't say that.
The dance was over before I knew it. Everyone rushed outside and the place became deserted.
Unforgettable experience.

AMSTERDAM!!! (continued)

The next day, we wake up when it's dark.
Breakfast is the best thing ever! There's no "recycled food" like in Village Camps. Everything is fresh and well cooked. I make myself a cheese sandwich and drink some juice. Since we were quite late, we finish quickly, take the things we need for the festival and hurry to the bus.
The school we were performing at is called ASH. I thought it was something like the "Amsterdam International school" or "Amsterdam School of whatever...", but I was wrong. The school ended up being "The American School of Haag". Yes, the AMERICAN school of haag.
As I enter the building, I realise that it's not that hard to tell that the school is American. My eyes hurt from all the colours around me. There are so many posters and drawing and flags and more posters.....
We find out when and where we're preforming and go to the "hang-out" place. It's a big room with many chairs and desks. We leave our stuff there and start to practise the songs.
Yasmin and I walk around, exploring the school. It's so colourful. The posters shout "Be yourself!" "Speak up!" "Show us your personality!". There is even a poster that said "I love both my dads! I have a perfect family!". It shows a picture of a little girl holding two man by the hands. The background is the rainbow flag...

There's nothing wrong with homosexuality, but it's just unacceptable to put posters like this in a school! Some people don't see anything wrong with it, but I do! I don't think you should be open about these things with people! Especially, in a school! There was also a poster that said "be who you want to be" with a picture of a men dressed in women's clothes.... You don't put things like that in a school!!!
A school is supposed to be a place for learning. It's supposed to make you more mature. You don't put toys in a classroom! Maybe, preschoolers... Ok... They're small and everything... But a 4th grade class with stuffed animals.... No!!!
They want to make their students responsible, but instead they do the opposite! They just tell them facts (eg: being racist is bad), but they don't explain it to them. They make the decision, instead of letting the children choose. So how does it make their students responsible?

My performance with the choir goes quite well. Unfortunately, we only have six people with us...
After the choir comes our duet with Yasmin. I'm nervous, but also excited. We sing nicely and the judge is happy with us. I'm very proud!
Yasmin and I go to the big cafeteria and buy a snack. There are large flags on the walls.
Next to us there are long tables. There's a chess competition. Suddenly, a wild idea appears.
Yaz and I come up to the players and say, "Do you know where chess was invented?" As the kids shake their heads we say, "Chess was invented in India in 600 A.D." and point at the Indian flag.
Zoum!!!

In our school agendas there's a fact for every week. That week the fact was "Chess was invented in India in 600 A.D.

We left the HORRIBLE school in the evening, when it was dark.
Dinner was amazing. We could take anything we wanted.
Since it was Gemma's birthday we also had a delicious cake! Omnomnom!

We also got ribbons for participating. I got a blue one and a red one! Red is for div.II and blue is for div.I
We left the next morning........ Sad face....... =(

IT WAS THE BESTESTEST TRIP EVERRRR!!!!!

Special thanks to:
Franny for the photos (youtube: StyleChicFrancesca)
Yasmin for being an awesome kazooa
Rachel, Gemma and Nina for being the cool people

AMSTERDAM!!! (day1)

Even though I only spent there three days, it was the best trip ever.
Friday morning. Sleepy me, driving to the airport. My brown and beige, giraffe suitcase is full with my clothes. I brought everything I needed; my Totoro onesie, a CDL concert T-shirt, my favourite shoes and... Kopatych (yes, I brought him too). School bag on my shoulders, suitcase in hand, I enter the building to find my friends. Yasmin, talking about the food she brought and Franny, thinking that her bag might be too heavy, are there with me. We compare our passports and laugh at the photos, excited.
Yasmin and I listen to nyan cat, while waiting for the plane.
As the plane lands, we try to hold back the scream of excitement. We can't believe we're in Amsterdam.
We get our suitcases and go outside. It's quite cold. The snow under our feet is frozen and icy.
The bus is waiting for us right next to the airport. Yasmin, me, Nina, Gemma and Rachel get the back seats. From now on, we're the cool people.

We stop in the city centre to get some lunch.
Our beautiful Hibiki!
And there's Ogtay....
Walking around the streets, admiring the beautiful architecture of Amsterdam, we start to get hungry. We stop by the pancake bakery.
Yasmin and I get some coffee. It is delicious!
They bring us huge, yellow pancakes. Yasmin ordered one with bananas and rum. Later, she couldn't stop talking about how she had coffee and alcohol like an adult.... Oh, Yasmin....
Oh, Yasmin.......
After that, all of us go to Anne Frank's house. I have a feeling that I'm not really going to enjoy it as I hear one girl say, "OMG!  Can you believe that we're gona see that house? I mean, it's not just a house! It's Anne Frank's house! It's like royal!"

The museum made me realise quite a lot about myself and the world in general. Especially after I visited the souvenir shop. There was a movie about Anne Frank, copies of her diary and.... A cartoon-version-comic-book of it! I don't know about you, but I didn't want to stay in that house or study any of the objects in it. I just didn't like the whole.... I don't know how to explain my feelings! I don't have anything against Anne's story, but she wasn't the only girl who wrote a diary. There were many other girls like her whose life was worse than hers. I'm sure Anne's diary is a good book and everything, but a cartoon version of it is.... It's just OTT!

After visiting the museum and walking around the snowy streets of Amsterdam, we go on a boat ride. It's dark. The lights fall on to the shiny snow and the cold, still water. Slowly, our boat travels across the shiny, narrow canals of the city.
We stop at the Hard Rock cafe to have dinner. Yasmin and I annoy the people at out table by being super perverted. It's really fun.
We run to the bus. The cool people take their spot at the back.
At first, the hotel seems strange to us, but as we enter we realise that it's the best place ever. It reminds me of India and China at the same time. There are carpets, blue, red and purple sofas and golden framed mirrors. There's a swimming pool, a gym and a sauna. The restaurant is next to our rooms. It seems like we're outside since there are many plants and water fountains around us.
Yasmin and Rachel are in the same room as me. There are two big beds with soft, comfy pillows, a blue armchair, a red chair with wheels and a large cupboard. (Yaz and I even got inside the cupboard and pretended to be Indians.... Love our inside jokes!) But that's not all. The most exciting thing is the big TV.

Shopping and Twilight

Yesterday, Franny, Carolina, Emma, Paulina, Ximena and me went to the cinema to watch Twilight.
I ran out of my house to get to the tram, but as soon as I got to the tram stop it left. The next tram was only coming in 6 minutes. At first I decided to wait, but I ended up running to the train station. Franny and Carolina said that they were at Starbucks. Since they weren't there I went inside the train station. Franny called me and we, finally, met up.
The rest of our friends were already at Balexert, buying tickets. I was all excited about it. (Whenever I go to the cinema at Balexert I just can't stop thinking about that time I went there with Peter, even though it was such a long time ago...) I got nachos and a slushy. Yum yum!!!
The movie was.... I don't know how to describe it properly... I was waiting for something to happen, but nothing really did... At some moments I just didn't understand what was going on because some of it was all so fast and unexpected and not at all linked to the story. The fights weren't at all realistic. The characters didn't act at all. You just couldn't tell if the main character Bella was sad or happy or depressed because she had the same face on all the time. The story was complicated. Sometimes there was too much action that you just couldn't keep track of it. And sometimes there was no action at all and it was boring.
The movie messed up my good mood and by the time we went shopping I just wanted to go home. While Carolina and Franny were at the makeup store, I was on my own outside. I didn't feel like looking at all the lotions and masks and perfume bottles. I started getting bored so I decided to get to the book store. On my way there I stopped and thought carefully about what I was doing. I thought about them looking for me and getting worried because they wouldn't find me. I thought that it wouldn't be at all nice to leave them there. I thought that they actually cared about me and I only cared about myself. I ended up thinking that I was selfish so I went back, finding Franny looking for me.
After that, all of us went to Clair's. I wondered there for a while and came up with a conclusion that none of it was interesting  to me. So I went outside again. Before I knew what I was doing I found myself walking to the book store. I stopped myself once again. And thought about it all. I decided not to go there.
After about 30 mins Franny walked out of Clair's and started calling me. I could see her, but she couldn't see me. Slowly, I made my way towards her.
Franny and all the rest of us went to Lush. Less than a minute after I sneaked away with Carolina. We ended up at the stationary shop looking at post cards and pens. There was a very cute purple post card with two owls on it. It said "Special friend" on it. I wanted to buy it, but then I thought, who I should give it to, and not finding such person, put it back on the shelf.
Franny found us quickly. After going to the CASA store (where they sell things you can decorate your house with) I, finally had a chance to go to the book shop.
I spent a lot of time looking for Enligh books. When I found them I realised that almost all of them were fiction books. Since I don't really like fiction I decided to go and look at the manga books near by. At least a quarter of them were Hentai (pornography) and the rest were the ones with strange characters (like Naruto). I didn't find anything I knew. I gave up my hope on finding a good book so I went to look at the DVDs. I ended up going outside, stalking Franny and Carolina who were looking for me, thinking why I'm treating them that way.
I went home, very tired. I didn't buy anything while the others bought loads. Weird...

28 Jun 2012

It's gona be Friday, Friday. End of school on Friday! Everybody's looking forward to the holidaays!

We went on a field trip today. It wasn't one of the best ones. The place was really nice.
We were divided into groups. Half of us went tree climbing and the other half went to this sledging thing. It's like a roller coster.

It's like at the picture only without the snow.
It was really fun. the first time I went with Yasmin and we were really scared. It was Yasmin's first time and my second. It was very steep and had many turns. The second time we were singing the ABC song and "the final countdown". After three rides with Yaz I went down by myself two times without braking. Then I went down with Franny at full speed. I felt kind of dizzy after all that.
We had lunch next. Since I was hot lunch the school provided me with a picnic lunch. I had a ham sandwich with butter, chips, an apple and a farmer bar that I traded for a twix. Yasmin gave me two pieces of pizza and I had some of Franny's cherries.
After lunch we went to tree climbing. It was really boring. I usually love tree climbing. It was very fun when I first went there with the summer camp and it was a m a z i n g at Peter's birthday party last year. There where too many people (it felt just like The Hunger Games) and the level of difficulty went from black to green. There was even a really hard one on which I cried. I was stuck on that one for like 20 mins and so did Yasmin. When the two of us came down (Franny was behind us for some reason) we decided to go on a very easy track that was actually made for little kids. Together we went on the zip-line about five times and Liddy took pictures of us using Franny's camera.
The bus ride made me feel sick. Since the school buses went to get the 8th graders from Europa Park we had to ride on these other ones.
After school Franny and I decided to go to a cafe. It had a very funny name - Happy Days. It still makes me giggle. XD =D Anna joined us. Even though we waited for our food for a long time I really liked it. My pancakes were delicious and the sirop was great! I took the leftovers home. Franny took tost with eggs and bacon and Anna took crepes. All together we paid for fries.
I went home at 5 and called my Grandma straight away. Had a lot of things to tell her, didn't I? pkht

International day!!!

Today is International Day. I don't know if you guys have it or if it's just a tradition in our school, but I'll explain what it is anyways. On International day we celebrate the different nationalities and cultures of our school. You can dress in your national costume or something from your country. (Teachers always too.)
We had French first period. Mme Farcy had this Colombian costume. Now I have no idea where she comes from. She wore a Colombian costume, speaks perfect Russian and teaches us French. Well... We had Music (a very very very boring subject) next and History. Mme Roussel wore this asian-looking-made-out-of-silk costume with her hair tied back into a bun. Nothing happened in Physics (as usual).
At the beginning of lunch everyone had to go to homeroom while all the dancers had to go practise. I was nervous for my solo piece, but I was sure I was going to do well. We were given out these gross red shirts (the other group got lovely white ones!) and had to change into our sports shorts (the others were given cute red ones!). All of us arrived to the Concha before the others. There were many stands with food from different countries. They had boiled apples and hot berry juice at the Russian store. I tried it all and recommended it to my friends.
As the show started I became less nervous. Our group dance was 10th but it didn't seem like a long time. When we out to the grass area that was assigned to be our "stage" I realised that it didn't seems like a performance at all. I felt like I was just dancing to myself with a group of friends around me. Niko (the only dude in our dance class and the whole CDL dance team) was so embarrassed. The T-shirt we were all given looked funny on him. The boys were cheering for him.
My solo dance piece was 20th. I changed into my dress and waited for my turn. There were so many people at the Concha now. The teachers all looked very funny in their dresses. Especially the two German teachers: Frau Weinz and Frau Lemacher. They had colourful dresses and aprons and Frau Weinz had braids in her hair (lol!). The funniest thing was the sponge-throwing game (how else can I explain it?). For a certain amount of money you got to throw a sponge at your teacher. There were Mr Pitchford, Mr Wilshurst, M Perron (!!!!) and Mme Roussel (I'm so ashamed I didn't get a turn to throw a sponge at her!). They actually enjoyed themselves (well... all of them except for Mr Pitchford).
Soon it was my turn. And again it didn't feel like it was performance. I just went on the "stage" and started dancing. I didn't smile a lot, though because the song I was dancing to wasn't really made for people to smile at. People cheered for me (you should have heard Yaz. She shouted like crazy, "GO SONYA!!!!). I wasn't scared because the people in the audience were all my friends or at least the people I knew. Yasmin and Franny were filming me. I'm sure I did very well because many people were congratulating me after.
So that was International Day! Tomorrow it's gona be crazy day!

Why???

School starts tomorrow...

I didn't write anything during my vacation. My cousin came for a week. We had a lot of fun. We went for walks and trips together, made up silly jokes and chewed gum. After all the fun we had I can't imagine myself sitting in class and being serious. I feel so sorry for her, though. She told me about her school and her school sounds awful, trust me.
So let me tell you everything about my vacation.
It started raining the day Nastja and Vasjok came here. It was very cold. The next day we (my cousin and I) went for a walk to see the "big chair" in front of the UN building.
After all of us travelled to Chateau de Chillon. Vasjok and I already visited the place so we decided to explore it on our own. The adults were left behind, studying everything with great interest while we went ghost haunting. Here are some pictures and a video I made:
Having fun on the train!!!

So scary....

Creepy

Beautiful!

Then we decided to have a fashion show and took pictures of ourselves (the pictures are done using piZap). Here they are:

Trust me, we had a lot of fun! You don't believe me? Here you go:
ROFLOL

IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO GO TO SCHOOL AFTER ALL THIS!!! WHY DID VACATION END???

5 Mar 2012

"I'm enjoying every day of my life, as long as it doesn't get cold again."

God! Can't believe I survived! I thought I wasn't going to... I mean... Winter. It's my least favourite season. Snow and coldness... Brrrr! I can't believe it's spring! Finally! OK, right. it's the 5th already, but... I'M SO HAPPY!!!
I was sick on the weekends so I didn't go to school today. My cousin is so lucky! She didn't have to go to school on Friday, Saturday (yes, they go to school on this day too) and Monday. It's because in Russia they're selecting a new president and the schools are closed. Lucky! I wouldn't want to go back there anyways. They say there's still snow and it doesn't seem like spring.
My Grandma is coming on the 18th! Hooray! And my cousin's going to come during the holidays! Finally there's something truly joyful in my life. I was exaggerating, actually. I'm enjoying every day of my life, as long as it doesn't get cold again.

26 Feb 2012

The spring has come!!!

If you sniff in the air around you you will realise that it smells of spring. When you close your eyes you can almost imagine yourself on the green field of blooming flowers. (I hope none of you are allergic to it.)
Even though, it's still quite cold and it doesn't look like it's spring yet, I have a feeling that I'm a few days away from my birthday. March is my month. There's exactly a month left till my birthday. I'm sure it's going to be the purplest day of the year because Grandma and Vasjok are coming! Any ideas what I can do for the b-day party?
Can you believe this!? The week of vacation we had is over. It means there's just one more holiday till summer!!! How I miss Montenegro and its beautiful sunny mountains! I hope the summer to be as wonderful as it was before, but a little bit better. Just a tiny little bit!
In my future I see myself on the beach next to Vasjok and the Adriatic sea. That's real happiness for me.

At the night of the dance

Yesterday, we had our Valentine's dance so I came home late.
It was the best dance we had ever had! I danced like crazy... But let's start from the beginning first.
It was a very weird day, starting from the early morning. First period was French (a strange subject itself). Yasmin begged our French teacher to make us listen to the song Friday by Rebecca Black in French. I took my headphones off at the middle of it. Yasmin found out that there is a god and from now on loves our French teacher. Then Mme Farcy sang to us herself, playing on Mica's guitar. She has a good voice, though. Yasmin was imitating... Who can ever tell what she was trying to imitate?
Then it was music. All of  a sudden we had a test. No problem for me.
Geo...
Physics was amazing! We went on youtube (with M.Dalche!!!) and watched weird videos. He was in a good sense of humour and was staring at my beret. Franny and I enjoyed writing and drawing with our left hand.
English. DON'T DO THE MINIMUM TO GET BY, DO NOT DEFINE ME!!!
Yasmin got hyper in computer class and freaked Mica out by saying "Swostika!" and doing her evil laugh.
In Art we were quoting Miss Manchala and tried to sound serious. Franny drew a picture of a women (who looked like Miss Manchala) and weird things around her. We titled it "Miss Manchala is thinking outside the box".
After all of us went to Franny's house (by Yasmin's Mum's car). We put our make-up on there and dressed.
The dance began as we arrived. There was some lame music at the beginning, so after standing in the auditorium for a while Yaz and I went to eat. We sat on a big desk with Franny, Mica and some girls from 8th grade. I took way too much food so that when I went back to the dance room I felt like vomiting.
The music was awesome. They played "I'm sexy and I know it," "Whata f*ck" and some other songs that teachers wouldn't appreciate.
Yasmin and I saw our French teacher there and went to say "Privet" to her. Why weren't all the teachers dancing? Mme Farcy said that she was "on duty". So what? When Franken-hunch came close to Mme Farcy we were making love signs to them and saying "Couple!". They looked cute together, trust me!
I was dancing like crazy. Too bad I didn't slow dance with anyone, but it was still the best dance I had ever had!!!

If you don't find enough purple in life, look at me.

Why did vacation finish?
Why?
I try to make my life more purple (by drawing random purple things in my agenda), but it doesn't help! I hate it!
I finished reading my philosophy book (Sophie's World). I cried at the end, but I still reccomend it to you. I'm really sad that it finished... I wanted to read MORE.

16 Oct 2011

So unpurple!

Did my biology project on chickens. Turned out very cute.
No more news. Only a lot of unpurple stuff.
