Diary of a 12-year-old

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about the diary I had when I was 10 years old. This week I am going to write about a blog I had when I was in 6th Grade. (It was on a Russian social website for children.) It was the best year of my life. The following things are translated from Russian to English and my translating skills are not so good :/
This was my first post:
So here we are… One more week until school starts. Homework, lessons and other things I don’t like. In 5th grade they scared us so much by telling us about middle school so that some people even wanted to stay in primary for another year. But actually, I don’t care. Homework – I will do it, lessons – I will survive. No… Middle school is something… The twins from my school bus told us everything about it. They love it there. There are a lot of teachers, you have a lot more friends than you did in primary, first love. It sounds pretty cool. The thing that interests me the most is lockers. It’s like when you go inside a shop and you have to leave certain things in a locker. We’re also going to have those! I am going to have my own keys! I don’t know what middle school is about yet, but all 6th graders are really cool! Maybe I will also be cool?
Awwww.... I was so excited to go to Middle School. That was such a long time ago. This post is about my first day in 6th Grade:
Mica is very pretty today!

She painted her nails and curled her hair. She reminds me of Merlin Monroe.
I talked to Mica for quite a while and then left to talk my new friends who I just met. They are Yasmin, Francesca and Tess. It’s a shame that Tess has a very strong accent that sometimes I cannot understand what she is saying.
Yasmin is wearing heals today. It’s not very comfortable to wear them to school. Francesca is also very pretty. She has braided hair and one of the straits of her hair is pink. Katja has a roller bag. Later on that day we discovered that it is perfect for playing the trombone!
I could not have known that the people I mentioned would influence my life so much. This is what happened next:
Here’s our famous group – Mica, Steffi, Sooyoung and Judit. I’m not with them.
We, Katja, Yasmin and I, walked by them and said hi.
The bell rung. Back to class.
They told us which class we’re going to be in for geography, history, computers and science. Of course I knew that I’m not going to be bilingual, but I was still intreseted who is going to be in the same class as me. So class A. I’m not in it! Class B. I was ready to note it in my diary, but they didn’t announce my name. So… Bilingual Class. Oh! The last surname is mine! Now I’m bilingual; it means that I know French well enough to study in French.
And that moment changed my life! I have been in the bilingual class for three years. And Steffi-chan, I miss you!
This post is about P.E. class:
The last level – a match! My role – commentator. I shout on the top of my voice. I shout in Russian, it’s more fun. This time it’s Roosters vs Hens. My coach gave me a red jersey and that means that I will be playing with the hens. The people on my team are: Katja, Niko, Judit, Yasmin, Francesca and the others. Those without red jerseys are roosters. Peter is the team captain/golly. I always pass the ball to others since I’m  the commentator. I almost lost my voice from all the shouting. Niko laughs from my comments. His face is red, he coughs. Peter also finds them funny, but he doesn’t get red, he stretches and laughs.
Good times. I wish I could be like that nowadays.
This post is dedicated to Yasmin:
Katja was sick the other day… Yasmin got sick too so today Katja and I were together. Snowballs are forbidden. No one likes snowmen… What a school! How can you not play snowballs in winter!!! It’s ridiculous… Our Weed is making more and more stupid faces. He winks, moves his eyebrows, smirks. “What a joy,” he thinks, “Who can resist snowball fights?! A lot of people will be seeing me in my office tonight! What a joy!”
He walks around, looking for trouble.
“What is this snowball you’re holding in your hands?” he would ask, smirking. “Do you want to throw it at your friend?”
“No, sir. I’m making a snowman. Here’s his foot. Do you want to join us?”
Then Weed would be disappointed. A victim just slipped out of his hands! But it doesn’t matter! Hmm… What is this girl holding in her hands? Looks like a snowball to me!
"Weed" is the name of a teacher we "love". Can you guess who it is? Her name starts with an "A".
6th Grade was the year the greatest friendships were formed. Like this one, for example:
This day prepared a lot of surprises for us. As soon as walked into the classroom I gave Francesca, Yasmin and Katja necklasses. They really liked them! I put three little boxes on the desk and asked them to choose their own gifts. Katja got a necklace with birds and keys, Francesca got one with three hearts and Yasmin got one with an elf. Everyone was very happy!
I used to care about school so much! Check this out:
This morning Yasmin comes running to me.
“This lunchtime we will be making the Power Point for Science!” she tells me
“I already made one! Don’t worry,” I try to calm her down. “Did you prepare the speech?”
We had six weeks to do the work! And she didn’t even prepare the speech and she doesn’t even know what we are going to be presenting.
“This lunch we’re going to the library,” she decides. “You will show me the PowerPoint and we will prepare the speech together.”
Katja is not here today. She should have prepared the speech and Yasmin should have translated it. But no one did their work. What would happen to us if we get picked on?
During lunchtime we walk around the school and suddenly remember that we need a computer. Yasmin knows that non-bilinguals have ICT in the Voiron building. We run there as fast as we can, talking about or plan. But the door to the computer lab is closed.
[…]
We run to the Voiron again. The lab is still closed and Yasmin goes to have her lunch. But!... We see the ICT teacher. I think his name is Mister Wasabi…
Mr Wasabi!!! Hahahaha!
Here's another funny story (oh I miss those times):
Inside the classroom there is another surprise. On the board it says “Bonjour Madame N” with huge letters and under that there are the first letters of the days of the week. The days when we have French are circled (WTF). Mme N is cross. In addition Lewis and George put the black board eraser on top of the board so that our teacher could not reach it. She taked out her phone (omg it’s totes cool) and takes a picture of the board.
Weed is very happy today. He forbid school bags that are left on the floor. He said that if there’s a fire or an evacuation, someone will trip over a bag that is lying on the floor. No one knows where to put their bags. We put them against the wall and during break they took them away. I’m sure that if there is an evacuation, no one is going to walk right under the hook, against the wall and trip over our flat bags. Katja left her bag next to one of the benches, behind a door. Later on, we noticed that there is a note on it that says “it is forbidden to put your bag on the floor!!! If you don’t put it away we will take it!!!” Yeah…“Children! There’s a fire! We should all evacuate behing the door!” Nonsense! We decided to take revenge and stick the note onto Weed’s bag.
School rules make so much sense to me... Here's something I wrote during the Science Fair:
I write “Science fair” on the board with big letters. Yasmin turns on the projector so that everyone could see our PowerPoint. Katja sorts out beakers with her DNA on the desk. Just in case, she repeated the experiment three times.
Here come the 5th Graders. They are so small compared to us. Last year it was the opposite. All the 6th Graders seemed so grown up and cool to me. And not here I am, standing at my desk, telling everyone about our experiment.
I hope you enjoyed reading those as much as I did. ^__________^
