This morning I woke up at about nine because I was going to go to church.
I decided to go to the Lutheran church in the old town. I wouldn't say I live close to it, but I somehow managed to get there in 15 mins. I was a little bit late so I tried to sneak in without being noticed. Instead I made a whole lot of noise slamming the door behind me.....
So there I was, standing with enthusiastic people singing around me. I was kind of lost, not knowing what to do so I decided to take notes about how the church was organized. Then everyone sat down and the priest started taking about peace in the world and morals quoting the bible. After that he announced those who couldn't be there due to being sick or injured. He also talked about those whose birthday it is this week.... And guess what...........
At the end there was bread and wine and people went up to the priest to eat and drink it. I just sat there like "what am I supposed to do?". When everything was over many people went downstairs. I was curious to see what was going on.
I decided to interview a member of the church. And guess who it ended up being...........
Too bad Yasmin couldn't come to the Orthodox Church with me. The ceremony was beautiful. I really want to join the church choir now.
Happy Easter! Christ has risen!
